Bleachdrinker "Love songs" LP

We’re Bleachdrinker, a band hailing from Stockholm, Sweden.

We started out playing in 2021, formed through hardcore communities online and with the intention of playing heavier music that we’ve all done before. We were basically all coming from the emo scene, but were fans of bands like Cursed, Crossed Out and a love for grindcore in general.

In the beginning we had the intention of playing straight up powerviolence, but we’ve been leaning more and more towards grindcore.

We’re a four piece band (Simone, Jonas, Jacob & Erik) and we’ve previously released an EP and a Split (with Seattle based Nurser). This first full-length, ”Love Songs” has been in the works for a long time, but we really wanted our first album to be a monster we were proud of, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

The songs are dealing with topics of war, oppression, dispair, not knowing who you are, as well as songs about losing love.

We want to incorporate a lot of emotions to the grindcore genre.

We are also big fans of noise and jazz, so we had a vision of doing a free jazz / noisecore track. It ended up being our favourite track, and over 10 minutes long, so we put that track as the whole B-side.

We’re going on a three week EU tour with Wormrot this summer, which is going to be insane. We played with them a few years ago, and now they wanted us to join a full tour.

Also, being able to release this album through Bones Brigade Records and Monument is amazing, two labels that have been putting out so many great albums throughout the years.
